The University of Algarve (UAlg), the Distance Education and eLearning Laboratory – LE@D of Universidade Aberta, and the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT) organized the 8th Meeting of Higher Education eLearning Institutions and Units on December 9, 2019, at Faro – Gambelas Campus.
Continuing the seven previous editions, this meeting fostered reflection, debate, and the exchange of experiences regarding the implementation, organization, and application of eLearning in Portuguese higher education institutions. The event was held under the theme “Policies and Practices of eLearning in Higher Education”.
Objectives
- Encourage interaction among teams supporting the development of eLearning within different Portuguese Higher Education Institutions (HEI);
- Promote the exchange of experiences and sharing of key topics and approaches in the field of eLearning;
- Identify joint needs and ambitions of various kinds, for which collaborative strategies may be developed;
- Create opportunities for partnerships between HEIs and the business sector.
Target Audience
- Teams from eLearning units and technology services within HEI;
- Teachers and researchers working in eLearning and technology integration in higher education;
- Other HEI staff interested in the field;
- Companies offering relevant solutions in eLearning.
