During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, through LIED and the TECHN&ART unit, contributed to the translation and adaptation of the Portuguese version of the Flexible Learning Support Manual, an initiative by UNESCO.

Coordinated by Célio Marques (LIED.IPT) and Etelberto Costa (Lifelong Learning Platform), the project involved 15 volunteers from various educational fields. The manual brings together online teaching strategies from the Chinese initiative “Disrupted Classes, Undisrupted Learning”, which ensured education for millions of students during lockdown.
LIED’s contribution included four faculty members and one professor from TECHN&ART, reinforcing IPT’s role in promoting pedagogical innovation and driving the digital transition in education.
