As part of the STRONG project (POCH-02-53I2-FSE-000010), the event “Smarter Portugal – IPTalks” took place on May 17th, 2023, at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, dedicated to the theme “Labor Market Trends.”

The initiative included three thematic sessions – “Skills for Future Jobs,” “Innovative Teaching Practices,” and “The Chair4Future Platform”, which encouraged the sharing of ideas and experiences among researchers, teachers, students, and companies. The event emphasized the role of innovative pedagogical practices and knowledge co-creation as fundamental pillars for building higher education that is more aligned with future challenges and demands.
One of the key moments of the program was the Bootcamp “Companies and Professional Future – Knowledge Transfer,” held on IPT’s campus and involving students, companies, and alumni. This collaborative space made it possible to explore concrete solutions for labor market challenges, culminating in a final pitch presenting conclusions and action proposals.

Smarter Portugal – IPTalks reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and society in defining strategies for the development of emerging skills and in promoting knowledge transfer.
