The Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, through LIED, organized the event “Unleash Your Creativity with Technology”, where the European project SparkDigiGirls was presented.
This initiative, held at IPT, aims to encourage girls to explore technological fields such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence – areas traditionally dominated by men.
LIED led the implementation of the project in Portugal, promoting an online course with interactive challenges for primary school students, in collaboration with the Nuno de Santa Maria School Group.
The project was a finalist in the European Digital Skills Awards 2023, reinforcing LIED’s commitment to gender equality and inclusive digital literacy.
